Farewell Grandad

Ted - Edward Andrew Little

5/4/1925 - 19/7/2009

Service No. 452747, L.A.C R.N.Z.A.F.

The dew drops shine like the star you have become
Shining down lovingly on each and everyone
The heavens have gained another bright soul
Leaving our lives an unfillable hole
I will miss you now you have moved on
But I know your love and legacy still live on
You touched my life and you loved me true
Grandad I will always love you

As you journey to the Summerlands
We wish you love and peace
We know many loving reunions
Will come with your release
You will now watch over us
With all those gone before
Your love will always be with us
For now and evermore

Four Little Girls

I saw four Little Girls on early morning
Enter the throne room curious and exploring
The eldest and youngest with unrepenting glee
Ran straight to the thrones all gigg'ily
They ooohed and aaahed with unbridled desire
Then used the middle two as stepping stone to get higher
With hands and feet they climbed up, pushing down
The middle girls most painfully to the ground
They lorded over with put upon airs
Holding court from their mighty chairs
They bossed and cursed and spoke most unkind
Fulfilling any desire and thought they could find
Reducing to tears the girls still below
The misery created continued to flow
Looking at them my poor heart was sore
Breaking for the two girls on the floor
For the queens felt powerful carrying on
It was from the crying that true power shone
Bathed in white light their souls shined out pure
While the two on the thrones shone as bright as a sewar
In the end I know who will be blessed with enrichment
For the divine blesses the loving of heart not two greedy bitches

Remember, Remember

In the darkness of the sky
A million instant stars shall fly
To keep the masses entertained
But will the meaning be explained
Of what the explosions signify
Will any of them wonder why
The sky is lit just once a year
With brilliant light to bring them cheer

The coloured lights exploding high
Exploding stars to signify
The past treason of this man
Who believe enough to make a stand

If Guy had gotten his own way
On that olde November day
The corrupt house of parliament
Would have received punishment
Instead there was no boom, no bang
And Guy was condemned to hang
In martyrdom his idea lives on
His name and deeds still going strong
In the hearts of those who do remember
Why we celebrate the 5th night of November

Following the Green

She stands staring into the forest
But the Hunter has departed
He has vanished deep
Into the Heartland
Into the woodland
She could follow though
She would not find a trace
He has passed through and
Passed on
A shade of movement
Silent Undetected
No pathway scuffed by his two feet
No leaf or branch disturbed
There is no trace
There is no trail
He has passed through and
Passed on

Into the Otherland

Just this morning

I went walking

In the Garden of my Mind

A hundred scents greeted me

A thousand petalled faces smiled

A single leaf was shed for me

Falling to the footsteps of my heart

I met a man under a tree

He smiled in greeting

Dressed in pants of green

Shirt of white

His skin Dark. Olive.

His eyes sinking blue

I am Valdinore

I would be your guide

I would partner you in the dance

His third baffled me

I knew of no dance

I heard no music

The music is inside

He replied

Answering

An unspoken wondering

He took my hand

He held me

As we turned and twirled

My feet finding the melody before my mind

We danced for hours

Never tiring

The tempo falling and rising

Without bidding

It was the music of life

The melody the tune of my soul

He knew the music

He knew the dance

He would teach me

Guide me

Lead me

Hold me

In the coloured garden of thought

I found the soul symphony already playing for me

Poems after being half blind

Had an interesting experience yesterday. I tried to meditate and couldn't then something seemed to fly into my eye but I couldn't find anything but it hurt really bad. It kept hurting all afternoon and I could barely concentrate on anything and I couldn't read cause it hurt to move my eye back and forth. Then last night my eye just stopped hurting and I got all inspired to write poetry and find some understandings. Might not be the worlds best poetry but it means a lot to me.

Four Gifts

A stony doorway
Entrance to mystery
The stones are singing and I shall enter

A shining sword
Sheathed in justice
The blade is calling I shall find honour

A sturdy spear
Swift and unfaltering
The weapon thrown I shall know peace

A mighty cauldron
Empty yet bountiful
The meal awaits I will have contentment

The Blue Lady

The Blue Lady calls
In my dreams…she speaks
In wisdom
In vision
With love
She is me
She is Goddess
She is Creation
I know her name
I know her face
She does not ask for worship
She only acts for love
I am student
I am daughter
I am self
I would listen in the stillness

The Guise of the Goddess

I am the Mother
I am the Maiden
I am the Crone
In blue gowns I am the teacher
In my green I am new life
In deep pauses I am the olde one
In this game I am the dice
I am Goddess
Of Lowing Water
Of Ending Night
I am the Snowfall
I am the Moonlight
I am the Burning
I am the Owl’s flight
I am the one in the twilight of sunset
I am the laughter in the chilled grasp of dawn
I am the embrace as you cross between worlds
I am the first light as you are reborn
I am the equal
I am the consort
I am the peace
When the battle is fought
I am the melody
That the night wind cries
I am the Goddess
With names for each guise

Drummers Thought

The running waterfall
Cascading from the face

The eternal running man

A calling of your race
